Welcome to St Mary’s Walberton in West Sussex, where people have encountered God’s love in Jesus for over a thousand years. We are a community of people on a journey together, committed to loving God and loving Community in all that we do.
If you are visiting the area St Mary’s stands ready to welcome you. Whatever your reason for coming here – whether you are in need of help; searching for a church; looking forward to your wedding or christening; exploring faith or simply passing by – come and see us soon. We would love to meet you.
St Theresa of Avila taught that prayer is nothing less than an act of love - love for God and love for others. Across the many different parts of Christ’s church each has its own rich tradition of prayer. Each day throughout Lent saw members of the parish of St Mary Walberton sharing a prayer, bible passage, personal reflection, quote or hymn, that they had personally found helpful in their own walk with Christ. Together these formed the building blocks of what we called our Lenten House of Prayer.
