Mothers' Union

Practical Support   Raising Funds   Raising awareness   Prayer   Friendship and Support

Mothers' Union (MU) has a worldwide Christian membership demonstrating the Christian faith in action through transformation by communities themselves. Four million members work with people of all faiths and none across 83 countries to promote stable marriage, family life and the protection of children through praying, enabling and campaigning. MU challenges social injustices affecting family life - particularly gender violence outside and within the family home.

Walberton St Marys’ MU has 24 members. We meet together, at 2pm on the second Thursday of the month, at the Village Hall - a vibrant, friendly gathering. We listen to topics of interest and concern.   Alongside this, members tend a children's play area at Ford prison; help at the village Mother and Toddler Group and offer a challenging, enjoyable MU Parenting Course.   Part of our subscription and proceeds of fundraising events go to head office to support UK and overseas MU projects.
