St Mary’s Youth group, known as YPTIF
Young People Together In Friendship, Fun and Faith is open to those who are in Year 6 and above.
We aim to build on those friendships that we make when we are young and to bring new friends in.
We meet fortnightly at 7.15pm in the church room or the leaders’ houses for a wide range of activities including craft, cooking, indoor and outdoor games, and discussions on themes such as Identity and Fashion. We go carol singing at Christmas and lead an annual church service. We have interesting visiting speakers such as doctors, airline pilots, police women. Once a month we go out on a trip for example ice skating, kayaking, laserquest, indoor hockey, orienteering, swimming at Butlin’s. We have about 20 young people and average about 9 young people attending each week.
